The Barbican Centre was AMPC’s first client in 1996, commissioning technical stage house alterations to the Barbican Theatre and a new orchestra pit, which allowed them to expand their repertoire beyond drama into opera and dance. After only four months of construction, The Barbican International Event (BITE) opened in September 1997.
